In January/February of this year, there were some changes made to out of state coverage for major insurance companies in several states nationwide. These changes saddened us in California as CA is known to have some of the best drug and alcohol treatment facilities and programs in the country. Unfortunately, some of the states that made these changes are the very ones that have less than ideal treatment options within the state.
However, the good news is there are many states that still do offer out of state benefits and our IOP Program is able to take these insurances. A few of the states that still offer out of state benefits are: Florida, Texas, Wyoming, Alaska, Arkansas, New York, Alabama, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Georgia.
